I just got an account with ING Direct, and I had to call their customer service center.
They were so nice.
It made me feel really good.

I've had nothing but good experiences with them; I've had an account there for three or four years now.
You might also look at EverBank's checking account. I sound like an advertisement, I know, but it's free and easy, you get 2% interest on the account, they *send* you SASEs for deposit checks, and they reimburse ATM fees, up to two or three a month. It's nice.
