I'm here in NYC for the PDF2008 conference, and I just saw Gilberto Gil give a speech. It was pretty cool.

I'm getting way too into quirky instruments. I just bought a (cheap) pineapple-shaped ukulele to supplement my badass (cheap) tenor uke, and now I'm buying three (cheap) harmonicas and a (cheap) melodica. Probably.

Just ordered a new ukulele (a cheap one, but looks fun), and the D&D 4th Edition Players' Handbook. And they said it couldn't be done...

D&D Update:

Kicked the ass of some goblins mining our sacred mountain. Going into the mines next time. Fun!

I had a good weekend. We went to Adventure Landing! I'm tired now, but I think I'm okay.

I'm thinking that maybe I'll see Kung Fu Panda sometime soon. I don't want to see the Incredible Hulk movie. Not right now, at least. Can probably skip the Star Wars one, too. I dunno. My brain is pretty tired.

Durham 3 is playing D&D 4th Edition: we're going to be three halfling brothers (a paladin, a warlock and a cleric). It'll be up to Remi to make us not get owned TOO hard.
